A few minute events. I thought I got kicked out of the bar the other night. Some dude came up to me and made a slicing motion across his neck.
"I'm cut off?!"
"Uh-huh."
"Well. OK. Do I at least have time to get my jacket?"
"Make it quick."
I left only to be found again by my friend. "What are you doing?"
"They kicked me out!"
"No they didn't. I just talked to the bouncer. That was just some dude on the dancefloor."
Fastforward to last night. Obama-mania is striking hard here in Ontario. I was at a life drawing class drawing the largest woman I've ever seen naked for prolonged periods of time. Way more fun to draw than bone-racks. The woman beside me clutched my arm:
"I am SO excited. I'm going to let the kids stay home from school tomorrow and we're going to make caramel corn and watch the inauguration and I'm just going to cry and cry."
"Are you American?"
"No. It's just so beautiful."
