I fear this is going to be unsufferably long, but here goes

Highlights of my weekend:

- seeing Sin City friday night. Holy intense movie, Batman! I felt like I was watching a comic book. It was visually stunning. Even if Elijah Wood's character scared the crap out of me so much so that I was afraid to be home alone that night. Well, it wasn't so much his character, it was the look on his face as he was being killed. Absolutely expressionless yet rather serene. CREEPY!!!!!!!! But the movie as a whole was so utterly frickin cool!
- meeting glitterdragon, Courtney, brother and brother's gf on Saturday. Saw them around a bit that day, wondered if it was them, walked up to them after the Tartanic show and introduced myself. Fun, crazy people - my kind of people.
- the smile on Adrian's face when I told him I met all of the above because of Tartanic.
- donning a fake mustache to play part of Louie's family at 2 London Broil shows on Sat.
- getting stopped by a creature seller on my way to check out zils at the Domba shop who asked me to give some love to the creature on his shoulder; then after I gave the bird(?) a kiss, he asked me to give some love to the blond man (himself) - very flattering, but I laughed him off.
- finding out that Andrew is not only a Buffy fan, but regularly listens to the music from "Buffy: the musical". It takes a very secure man to admit that, and I love him (in a purely platonic way) for it.
- hanging out with Nick Sat. night for an hour or two b/c I just didn't feel like going home.
- working Fairhaven on Sunday with the whole crew: Crystal, Nick, Tobey, and Charlotte
- doing our "better dancers than us" hawking bit with Charlotte for Domba.
- plotting intrigues with the Marquess of Burgundy. :D
- teaching Octavio a few insults in Chinese.
- special weekend guests "Sound and Fury" at the ARF. They were SO incredibly funny. And although certain sectors might lynch me for this, I found them funnier than the Tortuga Twins. My favorite being the encore done in Chinese, then in English with really bad dubbing.
- the last London Broil show that lasted 1:10. Yes, that's right, an hour and 10 minutes. And it was gut-bustingly funny the whole time.
- Tori and Ashley donning mustaches for a fake fight in said last London Broil show. Next time on Duncan Springer: "Louie, how in the world could you not know who your baby's momma is?"
- doing the hawker verse for the "Mermaid" song just before closing cannon.
- dancing, eating and drinking at the cast party.
- discovering (yesterday) that www.shouldhavestayedincollege.com really does go to London Broil's website.
- Kevin and the flower. I sent Kevin aka Prince James a couple of daisies on Sunday with a note wrapped around them that had a verse from "I enjoy being a girl" addressed to "the prettiest prince in all the shire" and signed "Here's winking at you. From: a devil of a woman aka I'm too sexy for my snood" (see the self-absorption post if you need a reference). Anyhow, I sent it as a joke thinking that he would laugh at the note and hand the flowers off to the first pretty girl he saw. Instead he carried the darned things around all day and was inordinately frustrated that no one knew who they were from. Liz(?) and I went up to him during the cast party and we mentioned them. All of a sudden, we had his full attention. He buried his head in Liz's cleavage and begged her to tell him who it was. She looks at me and says, "C'mon, you owe me now." Kevin puts his arm around me and asks if I know who it was. I slid my arm around his waist and said, "Now think real hard." He looks dumbfounded for a second, and then the expression of realization dawns over his face - "It was YOU!" And I smile and laugh. He said it was really sweet and that it totally made his day. Huh, and here I only meant it as a joke.
- saying goodbye to Stu and Adrian at the cast party. Not so much a highlight that I had to say goodbye to them as the way it happened. Party was ending and I was with the other fangirls talking to them (I don't think Richard, his wife or Kevin went to the party). Was telling them how much fun we had with them this season, how I hoped to see them this summer (Silver Leafe ren faire in Kzoo, MI and Hollygrove ren faire in Holly, MI - I can take my pick), etc, etc. I go to give Stu a hug and Adrian comes up behind me and they both start grinding against me. OMG!!!!!! @#%%#^$*^%*#%^@#%$% The English language fails me now. Suffice it to say, I left a happy girl.

...And then there was this...

My Tale of Woe

Faire should've ended a day earlier. If it had, I would have gotten clear. If only I could have gotten clear. But the last day was my undoing. I started to care, and I started to get jealous. And that was exactly what I didn't want to do. I would say that it started Saturday night when I was hanging out with him. I was right, he doesn't understand that what 19 wants out of a relationship is different from what 25 wants. He called me naive. Said I was judging him too quickly. I smirked. He said a lot of things that night that I just bit back my tongue and smiled about. He's really rather of an arrogant boy. Thinks he's world-wise because he's been on his own for so long. He's very good at listening to only enough of a statement to where he thinks he can fill in the rest. I digress. But it didn't start Saturday night because when I left he went to get food with 2 other girls - the same girls from Denny's and the waterfight, and I didn't care. He let me take his hat home. I wish it could've ended there.

Sunday I got jealous. Will have to finish this tomorrow. I hate the feeling of being jealous, and of missing him.
