so beautiful!!! i think this is my favorite set. the one with the beach umbrellas and the nuns are award-winning-awesome.
have you read anthony bourdain's "a cook's tour"? he starts the book with childhood memories of summer vacations in his grandmother's house in normandy, playing on the beach (some beach "famous" for the tallest sand dunes in all of france or something) where the americans fought the germans... and how he had his first oyster there when he was like 8 or something and how that single event like changed his life. he also went back with his brother when he got older - kind of like you and your brother! hahaha!
how cool! kristen dunst! cameron crowe! how lucky naman!!! :D that's so neat! so showbiz!
Merci bien!tropdesucreSeptember 20 2005, 06:26:52 UTC
Thanks for such a wonderful comment. Normandy is indeed my favorite leg of our voyage as evidenced by the pictures. It was also the first time for me to hear seagulls squawking!!! How charmingly bizarre!
You got me curious tuloy about the Bourdain book. Hope it's available at Powerbooks. You should visit Deauville one of these days. It's one of the more expensive towns in France, but it's worth every penny.
It's my favorite too. This is the batch I was telling you about last night. By the way, it was great bumping into you guys last night. Let's have dinner naman with captainaqua (a.k.a. sanjay) and jay soon.

Hay nakuh Trop! My thoughts were with you guys too. I kept wondering what you were doing and thankfully your pictures made me feel apart of your trip and yet they also made me miss travelling with you guys completely. Haaaaaaaay. ...until everything is settled with me here, plan a New York trip muna kayo, so that I can definitely join you. ;-)

I'm definitely going to New York. Pero summer of 2007 pa. Sana nandiyan ka pa. In any case, good luck to you and your work.
(By the way, I saw your paintings at rue Caroline. Even though you were thousands of miles away, feel namin ang presence mo through the paintings. They've become the center pieces in Pierre's apartment.)
