A couple of *really* crazy questions
OK, new to trying to write in this fandom, but a junkie since Intellivision...and can probably still do a passable job on the Solar Sailer game.
There's a couple real head-scratchers I've run into, and guaranteed other fanfic writers are going to use these as well.
1) Can Programs cry? We already know that they leak code when damaged (Legacy), leave no body behind after death (Original & Legacy), and that their idea of sex might be really different (cut scene from the original). If they can't, then what kind of emotional releases might they use instead?
2) Do the Programs have some idea of an afterlife? We know the Programs view Users as Gods, and have rituals and prayers of a sort around that belief (the I/O tower in the first). Now, if someone flat-out asked Flynn that one...it's gonna hurt, especially after Jordan gets fridged. It might also be on Flynn's mind, having watched Ram die in front of him.
