My birthday present from Chris

Jan 12, 2015 21:50

So Chris held up his end of the deal and we went to a Cape May bed and breakfast for my birthday. (About a week late since I didn't get off from work, ugh) We went to the five star Queen Victoria since someone on yelp recommended it to me. I was kind of surprised he was down with the price; it was $250 for one night, but who am I to argue? I pick and he pays, lol.

We got there around 3:30 and found out that we were upgraded to the Empress suite since there was an issue with the heat in the room we had booked. Oh my god, this was a gorgeous room! King sized half canopy bed, fireplace, sitting couch, flat screen, and even a private 2 person hot tub and additional 2 person shower! I was so thrilled!

We had tea about 30 minutes after we got there and met another lovely couple that was staying at the inn (probably late 50s). And yes, we were the youngest people there....27 years old and we're the babies of the bunch! Chris ended up loving afternoon tea as much as I did! It was an awesome feature of the bed and breakfast. We found out that our building is apparently haunted by a prostitute!

Then we headed out walking and to dinner. When we were done, we went back to the room to make use of our private jetted bathtub which was awesome. I think we spent an hour in there! Then we watched some Netflix and I fell asleep. I woke up this morning to him cuddling me which was nice.

We went to breakfast a bit late (oops) but the owner was there and she was so nice. I told Chris he totally needs to book it again for our anniversary.

Speaking of which, he brought up the idea of us moving in together quite a few times but he was like ideally a year away, but sooner maybe. If he was serious, it's kind of scary. He was even talking about converting his studio into my room....um what? Apparently I can just transfer to willow grove; it's right there....What? It sounds like he put a fair bit of thought into it even though he said it's probably later than sooner. But then he said it would make sense financially. I do not want to move in with someone because it will save you money. Ugh, boys.
