It starts off simply enough. He looks like he's in pain. Of course he's not ever going to be a talker. So I probe. His stomach's been bothering him a few days. We have dinner out. He's holding his stomach. Eating didn't really help. I prove some more. We stop on our way home to pick up a few remedies. Antacid and pepto. Nothing crazy.

The very wonderful Dr. Catherine Cook (enodontist), in her instructions after my root canal, said very clearly that if the inflamation from the infection worsened or moved toward or down my throat it could be very serious. Anyone who tells you bad pain doesn't exist has probably never had a toothache. In my case, I think there is some infection, too, but I'll know for sure tomorrow. The cause? Friends of mine couldn't help but notice my complete disappearance from January through about March of this year. The cause was pure and simple STRESS.
