30 Day DaiMao Drabble Challenge: Day 6
Watanabe Daisuke. Broadway actor. Boyfriend of Hamao Kyousuke, world-famous movie star.
Daisuke always dreamt big. He wanted to be class-A actor, recognized for his impeccable performances and flawless undertakings as any character that the imagination could conceive. He worked hard, but with no luck, received little recognition.
That is, until he started dating Hamao Kyousuke.
All of a sudden, his pictures covered tabloids and paparazzi stalked his every move. And that would have been great…if he had gained that attention by his own merits, as was certainly warranted to him.
But unfortunately, that was not the case. Instead of making headlines as “Watanabe Daisuke Gets Leading Role In The Next Broadway Musical”, newspapers and magazines almost always read something along the lines of, “Hamao-San’s Boyfriend Cast In The Next Broadway Show.”
Hamao-San’s Boyfriend. That’s all he was reduced to.
And that is why he could no longer withstand it, being overshadowed by his much younger boyfriend, even after all the accomplishments he had achieved in his life.
He tried once, twice, over ten times to break things off, to end the relationship which, in his opinion, should never had begun.
But there was only one issue…
Hamao Kyousuke, globally-renowned superstar, was deeply and utterly in love with one Watanabe Daisuke. And he was not about to let petty fame and jealousy stand in between them.
Not if he had anything to do with it.
