bean

(That's my caffeine tattoo. Just so that this post can be put into perspective.)

Here are places I go or want to go or have been told to go to feed my jones.
Alternative Grounds: it's on Roncesvalles, near my place. This is where I buy pretty much all the beans I use at home. Lots of other stuff on sale, teas and homemade thingys. If you like your coffee with a sprinkle of social awareness, this is the joint for you.
Dark Horse: This is a place I haven't tried yet, but I hear good things from a coffee source. I'm trusting her, she works at two other fantastic places, so she's gonna know what she's talking about.
Mercury Organic Espresso Bar: So this place I tried yesterday after biking out to Queen & Logan. They were playing some old late-90's rock AND had wireless AND damn fine espresso. Worth the ride, for sure.
Bulldog: Love this joint. It's recently been redone in some sort of restaurant-improvement-television-show kind of way, and I haven't seen what it looks like now. As long as the bean is the same, it's all good by me.
Aroma Coffee: I've not been here yet, and it's a chain which makes me hesitate, but they've got the free wireless and the drinks look good. It's also at Bloor & Bathurst and I'm often in that area.
Balzac's Coffee: I first found this place in Stratford, and then re-discovered it here when one opened in the Distillery District. It's not somewhere I find myself that often, but when I'm out there, I'm drinking it.
The Roastery Coffee House: I'm pretty sure this is the same place. When I left York, this is the coffee joint I worked in for a little over a year. Not this location. This is where the monkey really got himself comfortable.

This is by no means a complete list - I'll be posting more links & discoveries as I make them.
