Alright,
So I go to Blockbuster today to find out there's no more late fees. This just simply blows my mind. I asked the girl at the cash register how the hell this works. So she says "Well, your movie that you're renting is due back next sunday, but if you want, you can keep it for another two weeks". I immediately become confused. How the hell is it a due date when I can keep the movie longer than that without penalty? So I ask this and she says "Well, if you keep the movie longer than two weeks after the due date, we assume you want to buy it and charge the movie to your account". OK, so Blockbuster feels they know what's in your best interest by telling you that you want to own the movie. So I ask "How the hell can you assume that?". She says, "Well, if you return the movie after 30 days from when we charge you for the movie, you can return it and remove the full payment for the movie but will be 1.50$ for 'stocking fee'" WOW! A whole 1.50$ And it's no longer a late fee, it's a "stocking fee". And who the hell is really this lazy that you're going to wait a whole 3 weeks to return some damn movie that takes you 2 hours to watch. And apparently you can do this with video games. In other words, keep a game for 2 weeks and beat it, then return it. Booyakasha Wagwam! I've never heard of a company being so generous!
This semester has been labeled "The semester of the Red Bull". As I'm going to need it to survive. I really tried to prevent school from taking away my social life, but after a year and a half, school won. Damn you! This semester will consist of Red Bull and Resident Evil 4 (Suprisingly good, but not the same way as the other RE games)
I've been getting updated lately about all the gossip from my old high school. Like who's pregnant, who's married, who's pregnant again....you know the usual. Apparently this one teacher slept with a student, for some reason this didn't suprise me and seemed to fall perfectly within my boundaries of expectations, or I just lack emotion.
Trying to learn to play bass since I got it for Christmas. I still don't know the cords cause I'm a lazy SOB (And school, gotta blame school for all my problems). Fun as hell to kick back time, but don't listen to me play unless you want an earbleed. I'm trying to play the Bass line from "Only in Dreams" by Weezer, since it's pretty simple, not to say I can play it but I'm getting there.
I'm obsessed with Ali G. I've never seen someone stay in character so well.
Stolen from the journal of Virgin4life (I'll link it when I remember how to do so), I find this hilarious
"My new English teacher just spent 20 minutes today telling us about how he lost his virginity at the stones concert… at which point i interrupted and said ‘that reminds me of the time I never lost my virginity’ - the class was silent for the next 40 seconds".
I've noticed this pattern that girlfriends seem to find that I'm too anal and selective when it comes to music. I've decided that there's nothing wrong with me, there's something wrong with them.
Usualy, I make an effort not to talk to anyone in my classes, or I'd be too distracted. So I decided to be less of a jerk and talk to people, and now this one girl feeds me chocolate every class. Pretty sweet deal.
Something I've learned lately: All Asian stereotypes are true. Just try and prove me wrong.
On a final note, America: The Book is a must read for anyone with a slight love for satire.
Peace out cub scouts!
