LOOK! A REAL ENTRY!!

I've gotten a few people added to my friend's list, so I suppose I should update and junk.

Life is gradually starting to pick up a bit. I'm sort of working right now at a call center in Tigard. It's primarily outbound, but no sales. This is VERY nice, as I don't like sales. I just call people, trying to sign them up for seminars. We're required to make at least 160 calls a day. That's 20 calls per hour, folks. I can do that in less than half an hour. This is because I'm mostly having to leave voice mails. It's much niceness. It's not guarenteed full time, but it's something. It's getting me out of the house and a little extra money in. That means we might actually be able to pay for the wedding.

Which segways into the next thing: CAKE!!

My mom and I ordered the cake last weekend. It's going to be so pretty! It's going to be three tiers; each tier being a different flavor. The bottom tier is the basic white cake w/ vanilla swiss filling; middle tier is german chocolate cake w/ chocolate swiss filling; top tier (which is for Joe and I) is chocolate fudge cake w/ chocolate rum filling. Yum! It will all be covered in sage green butter creme frosting, then decorated with daisies (white w/ yellow centers). For a topper, we're going to have the florist (which I still need to find) do a daisy topper, as well as daisy wreaths around the pedistals. Here soon, we order the invitations.

All of our damn tax crap needs to get here so I can do the taxes! Once I do those, I can see how much we have to go towards the wedding. Pretty much all of what we get back will be towards it. I suspect we'll be able to pay most of the expenses. I never expected to be spending this much on a wedding. It won't go over $5000, which is good. But, I never saw myself spending even close to that, ever. Oh well, such is life.

Otherwise, life is pretty uneventful. We're starting to eat healthier, get some excercise and junk. It's rather amusing. Joe's been reading WAY too much crap and finding out just how unhealthy a lot of the stuff we consume everyday is. He's gotten a few books on the medicinal properties of herbs, how to extract stuff from said herbs and how to make tinctures, salves, teas, etc. He's driving me nuts with it, but I'm happy at the same time. Once he gets his garden going, we won't be spending that much on herbs or veggies. Also, come spring and summer, FARMERS MARKETS!! I can't wait for that, actually. That will be so much fun!

Well, I think that's about it for now. I'm getting hungry, which means we must figure out food. TTFN!
