Back to work again for another day of share-price watching. For those of you that didn't notice, HBOS (my employers) got f%!ked in the a$$ yesterday and Monday, when share prices dropped from their already 5 or 6 year low figure by another, what, 25% overall? At some points during the day yesterday the share price was as low as £1.38 - this is crap!
Its kind of nerve wracking and yet fun, and I do wonder whether the question will be answered: what happens if it hits 0? Or more likely, what happens if we go bankrupt? Apparently its completely unlikely to happen of course - our debt book isn't falling appart in front of our eyes like in the States - but our balance sheet could come hugely into question. There are so many banks prowling around right now looking for things to snap up, I wouldn't be surprised if HSBC were eyeing us up like a hungry lion eyes up a lame wildebeest.
Sorry, very banky post but its what's on my mind :)
