update time
OK, it's been a VERY long time since I've updated.
Christmas break was awesome! Great to have some time off and relax. But I've been back at work for four days now and I want my break back! I was only going to work 20 hours this week (that's all I get paid for with my assistantship), but the dean's secretary was in the hospital Monday, so I've been filling in for her = I'll end up working 40 hours this week.
Back to break. Holly's and Lauren's weddings were awesome. Had a great time! Between Lauren's luncheon, bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner and wedding, the week between Christmas and New Year's flew by.
Christmas was good. We spent time with my family and Devin's families on Christmas Day. Didn't get much this year, but I didn't ask for hardly anything. It seems like there are fewer and fewer things each year that I want. And I don't really need anything either. It was nice spending time with everyone though.
Went to my cousin's house for a bonfire for New Year's. It was great, mostly because I could walk home afterward :) Got sloshed on pre-mixed Cuervo strawberry margaritas. Nice.
Devin had vacation the week after New Year's so we spent the week together. Did some wedding stuff, did some hanging out, watched the National Championship game (Geaux Horns!), just about everything.
I read Memoirs of a Geisha. Great book! I want to see the movie, see how true to the book it is. My mom and I saw Rumor Has It - really good movie.
And now back to work. Only a few more days before the crunch starts again, and I got my first assignment this past Tuesday! I shouldn't complain though, after I finish school (again) there won't be breaks like this anymore :(
