Title: 5 Steps to Pin

Summary: Jin tries to make Yamapi like him (sorry, fail at summarys T.T)
Notes/ Warnings: This is my first fic and first time posting here, so sorry for any mistakes. The fic has only being self beta'd so excuse the grammar too. But do enjoy =)
1. Realisation
Surprising, or more like unsurprisingly in Jin's case, this step took the longest. In all the years Jin has been with Yamapi, he never felt anything more than just friendship between the two of them. However, recently Jin had these funny feelings in his stomach when ever he was around Yamapi, now if it was anyone else, they would have known these feelings meant something, but not Jin. At first Jin just brushed them off thinking it was probably just something like, indigestion, he did after all eat 2 huge hamburgers for lunch that day as well as Kame's lunch.
But then, the feelings just wouldn't go away, no matter how much Jin tried to ignore them, in fact they became much more worse, his heart started beating unusually fast, he felt like fainting if Yamapi just simple touched him, and he became extremely distracted whenever Yamapi was around. By the end of the week Jin had convinced himself he had acquired some rare fatal disease.
He decided to moan to Kame.
“Kameee I'm going to dieeee!!! Saaave mee!! I have a rare disease!” He announced dramatically one day as he walked into KAT-TUN's dressing room, where Kame was all alone.
“Oh really, how saddening.” Kame replied in a bored voice without looking up from the magazine he was reading.
“No, really! I'm serious! I get these weird feelings in my stomach and I feel like fainting all the time and I get extremely distracted!” Jin said indignantly as he made hand movements to emphasise the seriousness of the problem.
“Wow, that must be really hard for you, why aren't you fainting now?” Kame's voice was practically dripping with sarcasm. Not that Jin realised.
“No I'm not, you see, it only happens when Yamapi is around.” Jin said with widened eyes.
Kame paused for a second, put his magazine down and looked as if he was in deep thought. After a few seconds he picked up his magazine again and declared, “Well Jin, I guess you love Yamapi huh?”
Jin stared at Kame in genuine surprise and shock. “Kame! Your right! Thank you so much, you really helped me ne~”
With that, he began walking off muttering under his breath “ I like Pi... I like pi... I like PI!”
Kame sighed and rolled his eyes.
2.Assistance
After his great realisation, the first thing he did was call Ryo. On the tenth ring, he finally picked up.
“WHAT? DON'T YOU GET IT WHEN SOMEONE DOESN'T WANT TO ANSWER?! I SWEAR FAT JIN THIS BETTER BE IMPORTANT OR I WILL PERSONALLY COME AND MURDER YOU TOMORROW!” Came a disgruntled voice from the other end, belonging to someone who had clearly been just woken up. Jin can just imagine Ryo's face being distorted from fury.
Ignoring the threat, Jin continued talking.”Ryo! You must help me, I just realised that I like Yamapi!”
“ Yeah, and your point is?”
“You must help me make him like me!”
“He already likes you, idiot.”
“No, I mean like like!, I need to make him like like me! Not friend like me, you get what I mean Ryo? Ryoooo?” For the next five minutes, Jin started calling Ryo's name in various pitches, tunes and voices in hopes of actually getting a reply.
It took Jin a further 5 minutes to finally realise that Ryo had hung up.

The next day, Jin stormed into NewS dress room and placed himself directly in front of Ryo who was calmly sitting down and sipping coffee.
“Ryo! You must help me with my mission!” He demanded in what he hoped was a scary, can't-be-disobeyed-voice, a voice that his parents sometimes put on.
“ Says who?”
“Says me!”
“ And why exactly should I listen to you? Wait, no, why should anyone listen to you, let alone me, the Sexy Osaka Man?” Ryo replied with a smirk
“ Lots of people listen to me! I am the Sexy Hip roll Man! Anyway, if you don't help me, you will reeeeeeally regret it.” Jin finished off with a knowing look on his face and pulled out a book from behind him.
Ryo's smirk was immediately wiped from his face and instead he lunged desperately for the book that Jin now held at arms length above his head. Unfortunately for Ryo, he was height disadvantaged and therefore no match against Jin. Instead, he scowled at Jin in the most menacing manner he could muster which was really quite menacing- if he was actually taller than Jin.
Jin gave him a smug look. “So, unless you want Ueda to find out that you have pictures of him decorated with pink hearts, then I suggest you help me.”
Ryo responded by kicking Jin in the shin, but didn't further argue.
3. Planning
After success no.1, Jin decided he now needed someone super smart to help him. He surveys all the possible options before finally settling on one person. Once again he walks into the NewS room (not before checking that Yamapi was definitely not there) but this time positioned himself in front of possibly smartest person he knew- Shige.
Shige was as usual reading another one of his law books, and didn't look up until he saw a shadow fall over his book. He looked up in annoyance “ Hey get out of the way I am- OH hi Akanishi-san, how can I help you?” He looked around nervously in hopes of finding any escape routes but the only other person in the room was Ryo, who was obviously watching this with great amusement.
Jin sat himself down next to Shige and gave him a nice and friendly grin. “ Hi Shige! No need to be so polite! so I was just wondering, can you like... do me a favour?”
Shige grimaced, whenever Jin wanted a 'favour' it usually involved money, alcohol or food.
“Well... it depends on what the favour is.” He replied uncertainly.
“Ok, so say that I have a friend who likes someone right, but he isn't sure whether that person likes him back, what can he do to try and make the person he likes to like him back?”
Shige was taken aback with this question, didn't Jin know he wasn't exactly 'in' with love and seduction?
“Well Shige? What will you do?” Jin said impatiently waiting for an answer that he hoped would solve everything.
“Well... you should tell that person that you like him”
“No! Except for that, how do I make sure that the person likes me back? Wait, no I never said it was me!” Fustrated, Jin pouted, if he went on like this, everyone would know he likes Yamapi!
“Sure sure, well I would do little things to imply that I like him, like be extra nice to him, smile at him a lot or like make him lunch.” Shige replied thoughtfully. Behind them, Ryo snorted. “Why are you taking advice from him, Jin? You should come to someone more experienced, like me, the Sexy Osaka Man.”
Shige's faces immediately reddened.
“Don't be so mean Ryo-chan, Shige isn't that bad, don't worry Shige, ignore Ryo. I'll do what you said- I mean I'll tell my friend to do what you said, thanks!” Jin smiled and patted Shige on the head before skipping out, eager to put Shige's words to the test.
4. Actions
Hint 1
“PI! Guess what! I bought you some lunch!” Jin announced excitedly as he threw open NewS dress room door uninvited. He promptly walked over to where Yamapi was sitting and plopped himself down.
“Look! I made this!”
Yamapi eyed the box nervously and tried his best to somehow refuse the lunch, after all last time Jin cooked something for them to eat he had given both him and Ryo food poisoning, but looking at the way Jin's eyes twinkled with glee, he found he just didn't have to heart to resist.
“Jin, do you want to poison us again?” Ryo said before Yamapi could even reach for the lunch box. Jin turned around and glared at him before mouthing the words that clearly said Ueda.
Ryo shut up after that.
“No Pi, I promise this food tastes reeeeally nice!” Jin pleaded and gives his best puppy dog eyes.
“I-I-I,” Just say no, Yamapi thought to himself before sighing and saying “thank you very much Jin!” and took the lunch box. Jin's smile brightened even more as he eagerly watched Yamapi take his first bite. I know he would just love this! I made sure I followed the recipe 100%! Unlike last time where I forgot to separate the egg from is shell. Jin thought happily as he waited for a reaction.
What he wasn't expecting was for Yamapi to jump up and rush to the bathroom before screaming seconds later, “JIN JUST HOW MUCH SALT DID YOU PUT IN HERE?!”
Jin gulped, he must've mistook the salt for sugar again.
Hint 2
Jin decided that one way he could show his love was to do housework, he grinned to himself as he let himself into Yamapi's house by using the spare key that he had. He walked in and surveyed the room before deciding that the first thing he should do was collect all the clothes and do the laundry. He took a basket and began piling it up with the clothes that lay all over the floor as he worked, he started humming to himself and pretty soon he had the house cleaned up.
He stood back and nodded to himself with satisfaction before giving out a squeal. “Pi would be so happy!” He thought as he sat down on the sofa to relax.
And surprisingly, Jin was right, Yamapi was happy, not to mention surprised as he arrived at home expecting to have to clean up his house but only to find everything had already been done.
“Thank you Jin, your the best! I even forgive you for giving me the yucky lunch.” He smiled at his friend as he sat down next to him.
Being thanked by Yamapi made Jin feel all warm inside and he too returned the smile. The two sat in comfortable silence, happy to be in each others presence.
“Alright, I better go get changed first, then we shall have some takeaway okay Jin?” Yamapi announced as he stood up and started walking towards his room.
Jin sat back and sighed, all his hard work was worth it after all,the satisfying feeling lasted a whole five minutes before it was disturbed by Yamapi's scream.
“OH MY GOD JIN. ALL MY CLOTHES ARE PINK!”
Jin winced before scuttling off to find a very pissed Yamapi shouting about how you had to separate the whites from the coloured clothings especially when you decide to use warm water. Jin spent the whole time with his head hung down muttering sorry trying to give an impression of a very very sad dog.
On the plus side, seeing Yamapi wear pink clothing for the next few days really caused a great laugh.
Hint 3
After another failure, Jin made sure that this time he would really get it right, he spent the whole of next week being extra nice to Yamapi,not complaining when he teased him or demanding to be treated to lunch. Instead he treated Yamapi to food whenever possible and randomly gave Yamapi presents. But Yamapi showed no actions that returned the feeling, instead he gave Jin weird looks and asked if he was feeling sick.
What did he have to do to get Yamapi to realise?
"Ryo, Shige, it isn't working!! Why?” He demanded as he strode from one end of the room to the other. He had managed to get Ryo and Shige alone again. When no one answered he continued, “Shige, what do you do when nothing happens after you dropped all those hints? Huh? What next?”
“I'm not sure, I guess I just give up as it seems the person doesn't like me.” Shige said carelessly as he continued reading his book, really,he just wished Jin would shut up already and let him study.
Jin immediately halted his walk and expression of pure horror appeared on his face.
“Really... you mean... PI DOESN'T LIKE ME?!” He exclaimed his lips quivering at the mere thought.
Shige just shrugged.
“No! Don't listen to Shige, Jin, I told you, he maybe smart in academics but is hopeless at love, and I already told you Pi likes you, he's just too embarrassed to say, and so are you, and that's why you are both morons, so just confess, because in case you haven't realised, Pi isn't as smart as you think and he just doesn't get the hints, but if you confess then everything would be fine, and you guys can life happily ever after in idiot land.” Ryo interrupted as he saw Jin was on the verge of bursting into tears.
But his words may just have well fell on deaf ears because the next thing he knew Jin was walking out the door with his head hung miserably.
5. Confessions
After two days of seeing both Yamapi ( because he couldn't understand why Jin suddenly stopped speaking to him) and Jin moping around and not talking to each other, Ryo decided he has had enough.
After their dance practice, he grabbed Yamapi's arm and started dragging him towards KAT-TUNS room. “Ryo, where are we going? Stop pulling me, it hurts, I can walk you know.”
“Shut up, I'm doing this for your own good, so stop whining.” Ryo rolls his eyes, I can't believe I'm doing this.
Yamapi pouted but didn't have to strength to argue any more and allowed himself to be dragged along behind Ryo. His eyes widened with horror when he realised where Ryo was heading for and began to writhe around trying to get rid of Ryo's grip on his wrist and run away as far away as possible. But Ryo was just too damn strong.
Jin, who was all alone in the room with his head hung down was staring miserably at his lunch and didn't even look up when he heard someone enter the room. What's the point he thought as he prodded the noodles, Pi still doesn't like me.
“Oh God, stop sitting around like a rejected dog, you'll just get more fatter.” Ryo's sharp, unmistakeable voice cut through the silence of the room.
Jin didn't even look up, he didn't have to to know who it was. “But Ryo, I was rejected, I was rejected very badly by a person that I really like, and you didn't even help me.”
“ Idiot, I am helping you right now, look up” Ryo said exasperatedly, it was so hard being with two morons as he continued to hold onto Yamapi who was still trying to get away.
Jin glanced up slowly, but practically jumped when he saw who was with Ryo. “Oh, Pi, uh, H-hi.”
“ Uh, Hi Jin.”
Ryo rolled his eyes, did he have to do everything.
“Look if you guys don't sort this out by the end of today, you would seriously regret it, and Jin, remember my words.” He glared at both of them in turn just to emphasise his point before spinning on his heels and marching out.
Silence fell upon the room as both Jin and Yamapi tried to avoid each others looks.
Finally Yamapi broke the silence, “So, Jin, who did you get rejected by? Another one of those hot girls that you keep on hitting on?” he teased, but even he knew it sounded strained and forced. The truth was, his heart was thumping uncontrollably as he waited for the answer, the reason as to why he wanted it to be him, he wanted Jin to spend time with him, he wanted Jin to love him, not some random girl.
“Yeah.” Jin felt like hitting himself, why couldn't he just follow Ryo's words.
“Oh.” Yamapi's face fell as all the hope he held onto was gone, he quickly put on a smile to hide his real feelings.
“I guess I'll go now.” He turned around and was about to go when he felt something grab onto his arm, the feeling of Jin's hand on his skin caused tingling sensations to shoot through his body.
“Pi, look the thing is I like you, not just friend like you, but of course I friend like you too, but I really like you, no Pi, the truth is, I-I-I love you.” Jin said all his words in a rush and crossed his fingers as he looked for any reaction on Yamapi's face.
Seeing no response, he continued “ I know this seems weird, but really you can just pretend I never said anything you know, I mean I totally under-”
Jin's words were melted away when he felt the lips of Yamapi on his.
Through the window, Ryo grinned to himself and silently congratulated himself.
