Vivo, huh? Does it specialize in anything in particular?
I didn't see anything in particular they were focusing on. The selection looked a lot like Borders, frankly. But they did have these pretty Vintage covers of books that had been adapted to films, where they only have the book/film's most significant quote on the cover. I have photos in my phone somewhere, just haven't uploaded it yet.
They also had these Ryo Murakami books with cute-ish drawings on the cover, which I thought was really clever because it's Ryo Murakami. BUT, Kinokuniya also had the same books. I just forgot to compare which copies were cheaper.
Glad you had fun, and that we were able to show you the non-touristy side of Singapore, though I am still *facepalm* over having subjected you to my poetry :)
Come visit again soon, we'll do something different!
And yet, all around me was that heavy silence that doesn't exist even in the provinces over here in the Philippines. Even in remote places here in the country, there's always the constant buzz of nature in the air. Compare that to Singapore, where silence definitely means silence. It was relaxing and unnerving at the same time.
I agree. Every time we rode the train, it was so...quiet. As opposed to KL, where you could feel the hustle-and-bustle of the people was more prominent.

Yup, with khursten! :D But this wouldn't be your first time there, right? I recall you going there with a few friends some time back.
They've opened another bookstore at Vivo, if that interests you. XD Although the selection at Kinokuniya is still superior. :D
