Pleasantly Surprised
Well what with my car bill doubling overnight and not being paid today like I thought I was going to be ... in the end ... it turned out to be a day of goodness.
I went trepidiously to the Place of Dreadedness ... and they were nice to me ... specifically the consultant I spoke to was gentle, kind, non-judgmental and helpful ... did I mention kind. The exercise was also improved greatly by having some moral support, not to mention said moral support supplying iced coffee and retail therapy afterwards - not necessarily in that order. All in all, it was a remarkably pleasant experience. Oh, of course, I still shook, filled forms in incorrectly and almost blubbered like a blubbering thing but that's to be expected. That's just what happens when I visit these people.
To the various people who were nice to me today, I love you all.
And my cat missed me, she was smoochy all the time I was around and she's not normally a smoochy cat.
