what goes up ... must come down?
Well, haven't the last few days been just dandy.
Got to work today half an hour late because some nice man told me that the place I was parked was indeed coupon parking ... only to catch up with me 10 minutes later down the bottom of the hill ... puffing gently and looking very sheepish ... he admitted that in fact it was only two hour parking and whoops I had better go and shift the car. I really appreciate the fact that he came and found me ... the last thing I need is another parking fine ... but ... back up the hill, and go and find a park at 8.40 am in Wellington city ... yeah ... hahahahaha ... oops my head just fell off.
My favourite monkey fell off a wooden bridge yesterday and has a wonderful lump on her forehead ... purple, blue and yellow ... very spectacular.
The landlords have, as of yesterday, signed up someone to take over the flat as soon as I move inconvenient self out of same. Kind of a relief really but makes all arrangements for shifting and stuff suddenly very urgent.
I got the diagnosis (and subsequent quote) for my sick and much missed car (two hours sitting by the motorway feeling stupid because you didn't notice the fact that the temperature gauge had gone through the roof really sux)- blown head gasket and that will be $800 thank you very much :(
However, at least I got some sleep last night and weirdly that seems to make all the difference. I know I should be stressing about the above ... and yesterday I was ... but today it's just kind of ... oh well, next.
