Creed? Please No!
OMG I rock the shepherd's pie. I made a bunch on Saturday and baked it in several small bowls so I could freeze most of it in single servings. Comfort food at the touch of a microwave button! And not just any comfort food, either. This batch is awesome. It's not often I get all preeny over my mad cooking skillz, but I'm beyond thrilled about this shepherd's pie.
Saturday I spent 15 minutes lying on the bed, petting Crazy Eddie. He just lay there, looking at me and leaning into my hand. I stopped before he gave me any indication that he'd had enough because I don't want him to think that I won't leave him alone if he isn't in the mood for petting and scritches. That seems to have paid off because I got another five minutes of lying on the bed and petting him yesterday, too. OCJ Crazy Eddie is making progress.
Linus has woken me up at exactly 4:00 four days in a row now. Linus may be sleeping in the bathroom tonight. Argh. Other than that, though, he is a fantastic cat. He's so affectionate and funny. He is not a miserable, miserable beast, even if I did call him that in a moment of frustration. It's just that I prefer not to share my glass of wine with a cat, thank you very much.
I spent about seventeen hours on the phone with dawnshine yesterday. That is perhaps an exaggeration, but only a very small one. Set the bar low. Dear god. Also:
dawnshine: Do you like Creed?
The trista: NO!
Later...
dawnshine: Nickelback with Creed?
The trista: *whimper*
I laughed so hard throughout that conversation that I was in serious pain.
Today I need to burn a bunch of my photos to CD to take to class tomorrow. I also need to look into registering for the intermediate class. And maybe look for a cooking class. That could be fun.
