Monday. It Gets Here Impossibly Early.

So. Sleepy. *yawn*

My ankle is still not well. I know this because we have developed a very special style of communication, my ankle and I. If I do something that displeases it, it provides feedback. Immediate and excruciating feedback. So that's fun. I'm so ready to not have the ow anymore. And you know, this is not good for my ego. Christ Almighty, I walk like Verbal Kint, except with slightly less grace and self assurance. And perhaps also with less speed. DO NOT WANT.

I bought a jacket yesterday. It's a lovely blue one from REI, and mostly I heart it. Except that my fleece inner jacket thingy does not zip into it the way I thought it would. I don't heart that part so much. That'll teach me to pay attention next time. Except no. Nothing really does teach me whatever it is my silly mistakes are supposed to teach me. I am apparently not one with the life lessons yet. It is difficult to be me. *presses back of hand to fivehead and heaves delicate yet dramatic sigh*

I organized another closet on Saturday. This was my bedroom closet, which I think was the worst of the bunch. It truly was appalling. See:

Of course, I don't have an After picture to show you, so you'll just have to take my word for it that the closet is now the very soul of immaculate organization. Or something similar, anyway. Tidy, at the very least. I filled seven grocery bags with clothes to donate. I threw away things that I no longer need. I watched two episodes of Moonlight while sorting through bits of (mostly rubbish) paper. I organized the clothes that are still left. I even dusted the top shelf. I amaze me sometimes.

Now I have just one more closet to go. That's the yarn closet, so while it's not a huge chore, or a huge closet, it will take me forever. Because I cannot just take yarn out, pile it up, and put it back. That would be wrong. I must pet the yarn and plan projects with it and cuddle it, and possible pile it up and swim through it, although I don't think I have quite enough for that. Yet.

Oh! I started a new crocheting project. I am making myself a black and purple chenille blanket. It is fantastic so far. I'm using my glorious 101 Easy Tunisian Stitches book, which I absolutely love. I also absolutely love this new blankie-in-progress. It is soft and wonderful and comforting to work on. Yay!

Here's an APAD(ish) picture for you, which gets me caught up to the 6th, I believe. This is fall downtown:

I have a squillion more pictures, but in a move that will come as absolutely no surprise to anyone at all, I managed to get a cat into almost all of them. I may inflict them upon you later. Be thankful my cats are cute, my little FriendBots. You're likely to see quite a bit of them this month.

My short little attention span and I are going for a bit of a hobble in an effort to wake ourselves up.

Happy Monday.
