Minnesota is clearly trying to kill me. I'm positive I was not sick this often in Florida. Still, better here and sick than there. There are roaches there. Big ones. That fly.
So. Hauling myself back onto the subject. I am not at all well today. It started Wednesday night, and it came cleverly disguised as allergies. By Saturday I knew better, though, and started off the day wishing for the sweet embrace of death. Or Nyquil, which would have done just as nicely. Alas, there was no Nyquil in the Bin o' Medicine-type Stuffs, and I had to make do with Tylenol Allergy, which seemed like a good idea when I thought it was actually allergies afflicting me. You'd think it would help, at least a little, with a cold, wouldn't you? You'd be very much mistaken. It does make me sleep, though, so at least I wasn't aware of my misery. I think the most productive thing I did on Saturday was organize my beads into a spiffy little hardware-stuff organizer. It took me all of The Princess Bride to do it, but that's not such a bad thing. Sunday I think I watched the first Harry Potter, but maybe that was also Saturday. I think I had pizza one of those days. I spent a lot of time asleep and the days just sort of run together and scramble up with each other. Yesterday I dragged myself to the office. It was staff meeting day, and this time the "meeting" was lawn bowling at Brit's pub. I was not about to stand around outside in the heat with my miserable cold, so I stayed at the office working on a project that turned out quite well. So at least something good has come of my dreadful illness, I suppose. Sometime during the evening the misery began working its way down from my head to my throat and chest, so now I have a horrible sore throat and a truly awful cough. I am self-medicating with grilled cheese sandwiches for my sad little soul and fruit pop thingies for my sore throat. And historical romance novels for my...*ahem*. Brain? Yes.
