- My skull? I am bored right the hell out of it. This will no doubt change as soon as the meeting going on in the conference room ends, and that's just fine with me.
- I loved yesterday. The weather was glorious. The temperature was absolutely perfect and the sky was beautiful and it was just fantabulous all the way around. Also, there was shopping

There are tons of things like that. We lived far enough away from each other that getting to hang out was sort of event-y, but every time we did, things picked up as though we'd just seen each other at school earlier that day. I really, really liked her, and I was sad when I realized we'd lost touch with each other. I liked her family a lot, too. Her parents and her sister were fantastic. I thought her little brother was a pest, but there was a big enough age difference that I was required by the Code of Teenaged Girls to think that even though he actually wasn't a bad kid at all.
I think you're right about just sort of going with it. I got a short email from her this afternoon saying she's been looking for me for years and telling me a tiny bit about what's going on in her life, and she sounds just like the L I remember, just with new layers that I wasn't there to see being added on. She's going to email again later with a big catching-up report, and I'm so excited about it. :)
The possible in-person meeting does sound a little intimidating! If I remember right, you've only recently gotten back in touch with each other. I can definitely understand wanting to ease back into things. Maybe, though, it'll be fantastic and you'll laugh about having been nervous.

I'm glad the little email you got had the good feeling she used to have. I hope this turns into a really fun reunion.
I wonder if she crochets!
This friend is actually a different friend than the one I just got back in touch with, which is who I think you might be thinking of. This friend found me a few months ago. I mean - that's still recent, but not as recent as the other. Confusing paragraph!

I think you're right about me confusing the friend you're talking about with the very-recently-in-contact friend. That's a lot of people coming back into your life. I bet it's exciting and a little stressful at the same time.
