• My skull? I am bored right the hell out of it. This will no doubt change as soon as the meeting going on in the conference room ends, and that's just fine with me.
• I loved yesterday. The weather was glorious. The temperature was absolutely perfect and the sky was beautiful and it was just fantabulous all the way around. Also, there was shopping and then beer and spinach dip with The fontosaurus, and that was fantabulous, too.
• I heard from my 7th-grade BFF today. She emailed me through classmates.com, but since I cannot bring myself to become a paid member I have no idea what her email said. I emailed her at the address listed, though, and am waiting to see where that goes. I haven't heard from her in about 15 years, so this is sort of weird. Not bad-weird, but weird in that "we knew each other really really well back then but fifteen years is a long time and I wonder how much we've both changed and whether we have anything in common now" sort of way. I've thought about her quite a bit over the years and wondered how she is. I'm not very good at making the first social move, so I'm glad she emailed me.
• I was thoroughly horrified last night to see the apparent twin of someone I used to know. I hope the poor thing didn't notice me because I couldn't stop staring and my expression could not possibly have been one you'd want directed toward you. I'm sure it was a lovely combination of disbelief and revulsion, which isn't likely to be much of an ego stroke. I know it couldn't have been the person I knew, but the resemblance was uncanny. Even the mannerisms were the same. I am still totally creeped out.
• I still love my life.
