HAHAHA. I forgot that recently I read a case called Jordan v Money, and I KID YOU NOT, that the facts of the case were the guy, Mr. Money, was contemplating getting married to a woman called Miss Poor. And she had him checked out to see if he did, in fact, have money so she wouldn't be Miss Poor in any sense when she married him. I just! Poor becoming Money! I may or may not have chuckled a lot in the lecture.
On that front, my Equity lecturer mentioned my most HATED case ever from last year - the High Trees case. HATE HATE HATE. And I literally shuddered out loud. Verbally. EPIC STABBING TO THAT CASE. Amusing, however, that the case in Australia which adopted this awful cases decision regarding estoppel, had the surname Hately in the citation. Me too, hately, me too.
