So, something that has happened to me (or at least I've realized) is that I am under a curse. Yes, a curse that affects...ships. There is no other explanation for it. NO OTHER. I have the worst luck with couples. Horrible. Terrible. So I decided to list the evidence:

Ship: Robin/Marian... That's legendary, so nothing can go wrong there, right???

Yes, I'm shocked at this point the last P&P movie didn't have Elizabeth heading off with Wickham at this point.

It doesn't. The whole fandom was WTF about it.

They had done a "love triangle" thing with Guy of Gisborne (a henchman of the Sheriff of Nottingham) being very much in love with Marian and her being kind of sympathetic towards him, thinking she could change him for the better. When it turned out that this didn't work and Marian told Guy upfront that she loves Robin, he ran her through with his sword. :-S

In interviews the producers admitted that they did it mainly for shock value...
