Wow, belly dancing is . . . tiring! But fun. I had a great time and next week I intend to purchase the cloth thing with the bangles that you tie around your hips so I jingle when I dance. Actually, I'm pretty uncoordinated, so I'm sure I looked stiff and awkward, but I felt very sensuous and isnt' that what counts? A couple of the younger girls there told me I would pick all the movements up over time. So I'll keep going. There's a class here in Muncie, too, on Sundays. Maybe I could do both. It was a really fun way to get some exercise!
I also stopped by Harshman to have my voucher for meals for the Chicago trip signed and found out that one of the assistant principals (the one who went to Chicago that I didn't well . . . see eye to eye with was transferred to another middle school. The new AP came in at the same time I did. She's young and seems nice. Also, my office is ready to move into, so any time I head down there I'll take some things and start getting it set up. I still need to clear my office out at Manual and move all that over to Harshman, although I'll have to bring the rocking chair home. Not sure where I'll put it here either, though. Looks like Lindsay may be getting a furnished apartment, so she won't be taking the chair I hate from my living room.
All in all it was a really good day. I met up with Sandy about 3:30 and we ran some errands together than stopped at Einstein's for something to eat before class. Then I went out with her and a few of her friends from belly dancing to Steak and Shake afterwards (probably put back on any calories I worked off dancing). I feel a little guilty about not working on my webquest project today, but, as Scarlett O'Hara once memorably said, "Tomorrow is another day."
