So in fiction, when someone gets sent to an alternate universe or world they're like "Haha I'm hallucinating there is no way this is real" And they spend a good amount of the beginning in active denial. Which is stupid. If anyone in the real world got sent to another world, we'd know right away.
"Those mountains aren't supposed to be there. I MUST be in another world. I need to find my way back right away."
And then I'd go on a journey to find a way back with a camel named Greg and the alternate world's Sean. He'd look and sound and act just like Sean, so I'd call him alt Sean. There's a problem though. His name would be Nick Haverforth. He'd always insist I call him Nick, but I know him as Sean, dammit, so Sean he is called.
And their world would be in turmoil from a monster called "Demon Dark" and he'd envelop the land in evil shadows and Alt Sean, and I would have to save the world from him. Oh, Greg isn't a talking camel. He's just a camel named Greg. See, most of this world is desert so it's good to have a camel. Camels are basically horses in this world. Anyway, I'd also journey with an elf named Garry. Because Elves are common in this world. But not the fruity forest elves. We're talking bad ass nomad desert elves. And Elves killed Alt Sean's family so he doesn't trust Garry, but he learns to overcome his hatred after awhile.
And Demon Dark. That bastard is looking for a portal to the inferno realm, where he was banished from. If he manages to get back he can usurp the demon king's throne that was usurped from him in the first place and become all powerful. It's our job to stop him.
