jingwei has left and her presence made it rather difficult to get work done. I'm afraid I haven't done as much or as well as I should, considering I wrote the essay with hardly any reading beforehand... it quite worries me, because I think I have answered the question, and when I started I didn't think that answering the question required much further reading. I know there's probably a lot more I could say, but these things seem to be sort of peripheral to the issue anyway... it is tempting to give them more than they're asking for, but then I think I could spend my time doing other things like reading about greek goddesses etc. from now on, writing essays in longhand is probably the way to go - they get done so much more quickly!

I think I shall go type it out now.

p.s. left a satsuma peel on the radiator and it's as dry and brittle as old papyrus - imagine what the air here is doing to my skin!!!
