Yogaaaaaaaaaaah

Last night was Trizones Intermediate workout #1, and it was yoga. Not only that, it was "restorative" yoga. Completely passive. Just lie there and breathe. In and out. Deeply. Pay no attention to all those pesky thoughts running around in your head. Breathe them away. We only did 4 poses in almost 90 minutes, we just held each of them for a very long time. It was very relaxing. The most fun pose had us lying on our backs with our legs straight up against the wall, and our butt as close to the wall as we were comfortable with. It's supposed to be very good for insomnia. I'll have to try it the next time I'm lying in bed awake in the middle of the night. The dogs will find it most amusing, I'm sure.

I'm looking forward to Sunday's workout - Coach Tracy is organizing a trail run! She's really trying to make this session fun and different so we don't burn out. I was surprised at how many new faces were at last night's workout though. It's not just the same old group. Good to have new people. Keeps it interesting.

I did a 30 minute neighborhood bike ride today. I got new tri shoes on sale at 360 cycleworks and I was dying to try them out. They're breezy! I could feel the wind on my toes!
