Weekend

Saturday night we saw Blue Man Group at the Erwin Center with setine and memento_1234. We saw them in Las Vegas a few years ago, but heard that this show was different enough to make it worth it. We went with the VIP package from the IBM Club, which included parking and dinner in the Erwin Center. And a surprise pre-pre-show during dinner by a band called Drum Jam. They drummed, mostly. And were very high energy and fun! We had a fun table of 10 for the buffet dinner - all got tickets through IBM but I didn't know them. It was very outdoorsy table - they all kayaked and mountain biked and road biked. One gentleman rides with the Cyclopaths of Texas and he knew anetmarie, but I didn't get his name. He's a very fit and healthy grandfather to a 7 year old girl. That's about all I know.

The dinner was good, although I thought the pork medallions could have been more tender. But the marble cheesecake made up for it. And then we had great seats for the show - 9th row on the floor! The opening act was different - an asian guy who manipulated video and music like a DJ with a turntable. Hard to describe, but fun.

Blue Man Group was fun, but enough like the Vegas show that I felt like I'd seen most of it before. And they did it better in Vegas. I don't mean to be negative though. I had a good time.

Yesterday Tracy and I did a little geocaching during and after our LBLT run. We found 4 of the 5 we searched for. Today Jeff and I went geocaching and found 3/5. The ones we missed are annoying me. They must be there, but darned if we could find them. So my count for the weekend - 7 found, 3 DNFs.
