Just thought I'd add a quick post to say I went back to the eye doctor today and was told my eye looks good, but the original far-sightedness has now been "over corrected" so that my right eye is a bit near-sighted (just a little bit...not bad). I'll keep this short because my visit back to the eye doctor today involved dilating my pupils and doing a few other things that have left my vision fuzzy and my eyes rather sensitive for the next few hours, but I just wanted to post a note to say the MRI was clear.
