QUICK UPDATE
Just wanted to pop in to make a quick post to let anyone who might be wondering know that I am not dead.
January has been a whirlwind of a month for me, getting over the holidays, doing all the first of the new year stuff at work, finishing up a few ongoing beta projects, catching up my reading on all the yummy fics that were posted in various holiday fic exchanges, and trying to get myself somewhat organized for my upcoming trip to New York.
It's on the latter note that I really want to comment here . . .
I'll be leaving home this Saturday, dreadfully early as I have a very early flight out of RDU, which is about 2 hours away.
As of now, I'm planning to take my laptop, so I may be able to add some posts during my trip, but if I don't show up here or don't reply to emails, it will likely mean my suitcase wasn't as big as I'd hoped and I'll catch up with everyone/everything when I get home on February 9th.
I'm really excited about this trip. I already have plans to meet several of my online friends from what I've come to affectionately call my "support group" ... an online community of over-18 Dan fans, as well as a few of my LJ friends.
For what it's worth, to any of you out there in LJ land who will be in Manhattan between January 31st and February 8th who would like to meet somewhere to say hello, leave a comment with contact info or send me a message. I have the comments screened for this post.
At any rate, while in NY, I will be seeing Equus (my #1 reason for going) seven times ... the matinees on January 31st, February 1st, February 4th, February 7th and February 8th, and the evening performances on February 3rd and February 4th.
I'm also seeing You're Welcome America on February 2nd, Avenue Q (just for you nick730 ) on February 5th, Chicago on February 6th and Naked Boys Singing on February 7th.
