FIFTY QUESTIONS
I got this forwarded email today ... you know the kind ... the ones that promise if you don't pass this on to some specific number of people, your big toe will fall off (or something else equally nasty).
Well, I don't usually like to dump my email curses on my friends (yes, rosepddle, I know I emailed it to you, but only because I didn't think you'd be able to get onto LJ at work, so it wasn't meant maliciously) and I don't generally email my enemies, so I thought I'd post it here. That way it should at least be seen by the required number of people to keep my big toe safe, and responding is optional (or you can paste it into an email and bother your friends with it).

1. What time did you get up this morning? 7:00 am
2. Diamonds or pearls? Diamonds
3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema? Mamma Mia (and it was really good!)
4. What is your favorite TV show? House (Answer is based on things I actually watch on TV, but I've become quite fond of a number a British shows I watch on my laptop thanks to nick730 thoughtfully sending them to me on DVD. That list is way too long to include here (although some have been mentioned in previous posts).
5. What do you usually have for breakfast? Weekdays, cereal or toast. Weekends I usually cook (bacon or sausage, eggs and maybe rice or grits (but I don't eat the grits...they're for Hubby)
6. What is your birthday/star sign? October 18th/Libra
7. What food do you dislike? Liver, mushrooms (I could list others, but those came to mind immediately)
8. What is your favorite CD at moment? Probably one of the Harry Potter soundtracks ... I listen to those alot.
9. What kind of car do you drive? Ford Explorer
10. Favorite sandwich? Monte Cristo
11. What characteristic do you despise? Someone who thinks they know everything
12. Favorite item of clothing? Anything soft/comfy
13. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go? London
14. Favorite brand of clothing? No clue
15. Where would you retire? London if I didn't have family in the US
16. What was your most recent memorable birthday? Have I had birthdays recently?
17. Favorite sport to watch? Quidditch
18. Favorite sport to play? Baseball
19. Are you a morning person or a night person? Night
20. What is your shoe size? 7
21. Pets? 2 dogs, 4 horses
22. Any new and exciting news you'd like to share?
Recently got a new daughter-in-law...my son chose wisely!
Seeing Equus in September!!! And several times more in January & February!!!
23. When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up? A journalist/writer
24. Did you do it? Sadly, no. I work for the government.
25. What is your favorite flower? Gardenia
26. What are you listening to right now? Someone laughing in the lobby of the building where I work.
27. What was the last thing you ate? A ham sandwich and potato chips
28. Do you wish on stars? Not in a long while
29. How is the weather where you are right now? Hot, rainy and stormy
30. Last person you spoke to on the phone? rosepddle
31. Favorite soft drink? It was Pepsi, but I haven't had one of any kind since April, so maybe that means I no longer have one...either way, I'm amazed at my willpower!
32. Favorite restaurant? Depends what food I'm in the mood for. I really like The Outback, Logan's Roadhouse and The Kanki
33. Hair color? Sort of sandy blonde/light brown
34. Eye color? Blue
35. What was your favorite toy as a child? A stuffed doll that I called "Huggums" (no idea why I called her that).
36. Summer or winter? I actually prefer Spring or Fall
37. Hugs or kisses? Hugs (unless it involves a certain pouty British bottom lip, then I'm up for just about anything)
38. Chocolate or Vanilla? Chocolate
39. Coffee or tea? Not really big on either.
40. Do you want your friends to answer these questions? Of course! Why else would I have bothered posting this? Oh right ... the big toe thing ...
41. When was the last time you cried? My son's wedding day
42. What is under your bed? Dust bunnies, usually accompanied by a very large dog (or two)
43. What did you do last night? Worked late, then had a lovely conversation with a favorite fanfic author of mine about her latest plot bunny.
44. What are you afraid of? Disappointing people who are important to me
45. Salty or sweet? Sweet
46. How many keys on your key ring? 3 (unless you mean the one for work and it has a bunch)
47. Do you make friends easily? Yeah
48. Favorite actor/actress? Actor...does anyone really need me to answer this one? (Daniel Radcliffe if you happen to be from another planet and really didn't already know I fancy him). Actress...this one is a bit harder. I thing several actresses are good (but wouldn't drop what I'm doing just to catch any of them on the telly like I would for Dan). On the "think are good" list, I'd probably include Maggie Smith, Kate Winslet, Helen Hunt, Sandra Bullock, Julie Walters ... and I'm sure there are others who just aren't coming to mind at the moment.
49. Most embarrassing moment? Well, I won't name names here since this is sort of public (some of you will already know who I mean) ... but once when I was on holiday, I happened to walk past the home of someone rather famous and managed to literally collide with someone who lived in the house I was busy staring at because I wasn't looking where I was going.
50. Secret fantasies? If I listed them here, they wouldn't be secret any more now would they? (I'm sure you can all guess who they're about anyway).
