Let's see...I just have the dungeons to do, and then back past the kitchens to make sure that no one's trying to sneak something. Just because exams are over doesn't mean everyone can run wild. I'm sure I'll end up cleaning the common room when I get back, if only to make less work for the house elves.
*pauses, hands on hips, to peer at the wall* What's this? 'NEWTs are over, OWLs are done, Snape can shove a cauldron up his --' *scowls, taking a step back* Well, honestly! Of all the idiotic -- and it's been hexed onto the stone, too!
*sets to work, trying different countercurses to remove the writing*
It's things like these that almost make me glad this is my last year. If I have to submit one more report for running in the corridors, or sit in the same room with Draco Malfoy and look at his sneering face for one moment longer...ugh.
And now I have to start looking at all the paperwork for next year. Roommate and dormitory selections, financial aid forms -- I wish I could talk to Mummy and Dad about the money I know they set aside for university when I was a baby. They wouldn't have gotten rid of it, would they?
I'm going to have to go back. I know it. Maybe if I can take Harry and Ron with me, they'll HAVE to let me inside. They'll HAVE to sit down and talk, and even if there's yelling...well, Ron can yell with the best of them. But once they really see them, get to know Harry and Ron and know that this isn't just a phase I'm going through...that I'm not trying to shock or embarrass or 'disgrace the family'...that I miss them so much....
*casts a countercurse and watches as the hexed letters slowly fade* At last. I'll still have to write it up, but at least I won't have to hear about it in the morning.
*turns round and walks off, down the corridor toward the kitchens* Everyone's in their common rooms, celebrating. I suppose that it's just as well I had rounds tonight.
I'm not feeling very celebratory right now.
