this won't do at ALL!
I'm behind on posting!
I haven't posted pics from Steamfest. So prepare yourself for that. Saturday I put on the good old short bustle, put on the key, and voila! Clockwork Doll. It got alot of love, as did my Steampunk bag... :D
Then on Sunday, I was torn. I really wanted to wear my new outfit, but I also really wanted to wear my riding habit. What's a girl to do? Obviously change at lunch time.. :D.. First, the new outfit.
I'm probably going to need to put it on the mannequin to photgraph it better, but I'll do that when I get around to doing the sleeve trim.. I have heaps of the tartan left, so there's going to be more mix and match pieces to go with.
See my new top hat? Was a little expensive, but it's exactly what I've been looking for. A wool felt hat that perched on my head rather than sitting down near my eyebrows..
Then I changed into my riding habit for the afternoon.....
I had a great time at Steamfet. Spent alot of time talking to many cool steampunk type peeps. I went with some really awesome people <3, saw and chatted to many people I know (and don't see often), and met a bunch of others as well..
There were a few issues with the event, but nothing that would make me not go again that's for sure.
