Said, so noted by the person in question, "with all love".
And I can't deny it. Yeah. In the best sense of the word, where I care about how speech affects the framework of the world, yes. I am.
And it irritates the hell out of me.
What I do shouldn't be notable, exceptionable, remarkable...it should just be the status quo. How things are, how we do things. To maximize justice and livability, to honor diversity, to aim to bring out the best in everyone. To construct the world so that the maximum number of people are able to contribute somehow. To share burdens. To be free of the need for the grinding despair of spending all of one's energy and more on basic subsistence.
I'm sick of the 1% pretending that they got there out of self-made effort-driven reward.
I'm even sicker of the idea that what I advocate makes me a danger.
