Again with the priests!

Dec 05, 2005 19:34

This time it's all _inbetween_'s fault. I'm a crack addict; the idea of a SGA/Father Ted fusion was just too cracktastic to resist. Also, it may be an Ireland thing. Yes, I'll blame my adopted country! Whee ( Read more... )

Also, I added "apparently: priests" to my interests list. Because apparently? Priests

Never seen Father Ted. Won't stop me from reading your fic.

I appreciate your loyalty, but it's all FT in-jokes! Take those away, and the crack(s) really start(s) to show!

However, my interests list is now...okay, it's still nowhere as cool as plainsong_x's. But it's cooler! It's braces are finally off! Or something.

apparently priests John Sheppard (even the last name fits!!) as a priest is too freakin' much to resist, hey, if it's wrong, then well, it could be a whole hell of a lot worse!! I swear if he was a priest, I'd be in church every damn day!*smile* Yes, I probably am going to hell, but until then, I'm human. *smile*

You have no idea what it took for me to resist that pun. Or to not make some sort of dirty comment about his "flock." I actually feel like a great weight's been lifted from me now that you've said it, and it's, y'know, out there. So thanks. ;-)

No, no: anywhere is fine! There is no wrong place! Okay, on the journal of someone else entirely would probably be weird, but...

I'm glad you liked it. Frighteningly, that is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the whacked-out crossover ideas lurking in my brain...

Ground Control to Major Ted: your circuit's gone, there's something wrong!

Seriously, I've only heard of this Stargate Atlantis thing because you keep talking about it, but merging it with Father Ted??!! That sounds demented!! Which of course I don't mean in a bad way (many wonderful things are the products of demented imaginations). I am, however, unwilling to read your story, because I'm terribly, terribly afraid that you have written sci-fi Father Ted porn... which I would have to put into the "tmi" category. Is nothing sacred?!

Anyway, besides being unable to refuse the challenge of your story title, I'm just dropping by because of a 'not-enough information' issue: I'm going to be in Ireland (North) for about 10 days over New Year's, and I was just wondering if you're staying in Dublin at that time or if, like a sensible Girl (formerly with journal), you'll be going home for the holidays? If you'll be in California, then we will probably, in an echo of the opening of Changing Places (a book that you really must read), pass ( ... )

Yaaaay, someone got my second sekrit pun of much sekritness! Does the fact that my title had two meanings make my story deep? *g*

And it is absolutely not porn! How sick do you think I am? It's a series of badly strung together FT jokes, is really what it is. CRACK. You could read it, though; I promise, it's perfectly safe.

In fandom in general? No. For me? Yes. Narnia slash, for example? So not touching that...

I really do need to read Changing Places; thankfully, however, you and I will not have to enact it, as I will be here over New Year's. Where are you going to be and when? Any thoughts on a good meet-up place? That is, if you're not ashamed to be seen with someone you'd suspect of slashing Father Ted! ;-)

Well, I can't tell you how relieved I am to hear that! We know Major Ted's a junkie, but still...

Oh, my sweet frilly Jesus, you crossed SGA and Father Ted? That is the best thing ever. You can blame Ireland all you want; I can tell you that none of us will mind *g*

I'm glad I have the country's seal of approval. You all are feeding my madness with your...actually, it was me, all me. I'm just cracked. But the allure of such a clever show (with priests, no less!) was damn hard to resist! So, um, I didn't. *g*

I am so, so glad you didn't resist. Why resist? The resisting is a bad thing! Especially when it makes me have a giggle fit in the computer room.

Dammit, I really do have to meet you.

I'm just as frightening in real life. Maybe more so, as I am deceptively small and bouncy.

But yes! Meeting up would be cool. You wanna e-mail me and we can work it out? akirgo@yahoo.com
