I'm not sure Donna would ever have forgiven the Doctor if that had happened. I mean, running for her life from something that wants her dead? That happens five times before breakfast when the Doctor was around. But being followed around by a flesh-eating lumpy alien that thinks she's her mother? That might be new even for the Doctor.

Okay, I'm sure that's not new for the Doctor.
