I got my "fuzz" fix tonight - stumbled back exhausted from the ship around 10pm (did drills that forced me to stay late), stepped out of the elevator on my floor...
The husband of the family who lives a few doors down the hall was out there w. one of his two kitties exploring in the hallway. Gorgeous longhair torty/stripey dark brown/gray colored male named "Trevor." He's also a very large/handsome cat with a VERY long fluffy tail! Trevor has a white belly, while their other kitty, Nigel, is solid torty and very skittish (he only looked at me from their doorway down the hall).
Trevor is 18 months old and an absolute sweety. Begged for perpetual petting/belly rubs, but also does this incredibly cute thing where he would step up front paws onto my knee (I was kneeling w. one knee on the floor) and head-butt me on the bottom of my chin or my cheek, then start to give my face a bath! The neighbor explained that as the true outgoing male cat Trevor isn't afraid to demand infinite attention (I had to step away towards my apartment in order to end the "fuzz session" and I'm surprised I wasn't followed) - the kind of cat who will stand on your face at 4am if he's hungry and lecture you about it as well!
