Wow - 37 weeks IS a huge milestone. But it does suck to know that the baby can come anytime now, but won't likely come for what seems like an ETERNITY. You'll spend your last week of pregnancy going quietly mad.....
I know what you mean about the work thing. There are a lot of things that only I know how to do at my job and I hate the idea of leaving them up to others. I think it will be good for you to still do some work from home. I know that it seems overwhelming to be caring for the baby and working, but I think that it will help ease your transition into "mommyland" and still feel like part of the rest of the world.
The unknown is hard and since this is your first baby, it's got to be driving you nuts! You sorta know how it's gonna go - baby will cry, baby will get fed, you will change baby's diaper, etc. But you don't REALLY know how you're going to feel, the baby's personality, how your husband will handle things, and just how life is going to BE with this new little person. It's scary! But you're gonna be fine.
Eeek indeed....but try to relax! Things are pretty much beyond your control at this point anyway. ;)
