Me on TV!
I know most of you are waiting for a summary from LA, but I could never compete with the SCBWI Conference Blog.
I am grateful for connections made in LA, for the forever friends, and for a faster heartbeat. But I have BIG NEWS TO SHARE..and I can't keep it a secret any longer.
Today, I was on TV with talented authors from MuseWrite and the warm-hearted host of "Chicagoing," Bill Campbell.
Cynthea Liu, Michelle Duster, Jen Cullerton Johnson and I talked with Bill on the set where the Oprah Show was originally taped.
I geeked out, doing leg lifts and cartwheels and side bends.
The security guard was not amused.
[Well, alright, this guy wasn't really there.]
Once I settled down, we discussed how we met, how we help the community of writers, and also shared our journeys. Of course I mentioned SCBWI, the organization that pulled me up from the roots.
Then ABC hired us as their news anchors!
Ok. Maybe they didn't. But this is my dream, you know. Was, I should say. Was my dream. Now my dream is to touch hearts, which I believe we are doing.
