I found out a couple hours ago that my uncle was killed in Iraq yesterday. He drove a truck over a concealed land mine. They're shipping his remains back next week. Ironic part is that he was supposed to be coming home next week after being out there for a couple years.
He was my mom's only sibling; and my dad tells me she's really broken up about it (she wasn't able to talking to me on the phone when I tried calling her). He was her little brother, two years difference between them, just like me and Zach.
Life. Sigh.
