(no subject)
feels like it's been awhile since i did an update.. let's see..
my last post, which only said "bleh," was work related. long story short, my schedule looks like it's going to be changing again. while i think that it won't be too bad of a change, i am still aggravated by the politics behind it. greatly so. but that's moot now, anyway.
so let's see..
dan got back last week, two days early :-D it's been very, very good to have him back in albany, even if walking back and forth in the cold between our houses has nearly killed us a few times, lol.
rick b left work, so support is now basically me and shelby during the day. it's kinda odd, but it went alright last week. staff really is stretched thin, though.
on saturday night, james came over, and after a bit of pregaming and watching buffy, we went down the street. we all played asshole, which was fun. aside from new year's, it's been a long time since i've played cards with friends. that night it snowed a lot, so i spent most of sunday holed up over there. i actually watched the football games with dan, josh, and will, though i will admit i was also playing the minish cap through most of it ;)
i am buying will's smaller tv from him, and i say "small" only in comparison to the big 52" one.. the one i'm getting is 27", which is larger than any tv i've owned before. i will finally dump the non-working 19" one.
i've also finally gotten a new computer! just ordered it today, actually. free flat screen monitor upgrade, ooh! lol. it should be nice though.. on this comp (which is going on 4 years old), i only have 256mb RAM, 1.0 Ghz P3 processor.. the new one will be 1gb RAM, 3.2 Ghz P4.. so it's a definite jump there ;) i should get it sometime next week. much excitement. :)
i'm also trying to be a bit more organized. i may ultimately follow james' example, and get myself a small filing cabinet of some sort, for important papers. when i was sorting through a stack on my desk, i found (yes, this is bad) that with all the flurry to find my own place in late oct/early nov, i'd never sent in the receipt for my contacts to mvp. so i'm doing that now, several months after the fact. sigh. must be better about such things. when they do reimburse me, it should be nice though, since i forgot that i was even supposed to get anything.
ok, that should be the majority for now, lol.
