As previously discussed, cholesterol has been my downfall. The cause of the high LDL and low HDL has never been diagnosed. It's just been about changing the numbers to favor better heart health. Diet and drugs, drugs and diet.

Well Presidents Day made the drive from work on Burnet Road down to the Travis Heights neighborhood a snap, instead of the peak commute of 40-minutes, today it just took 20. When I got to Stacy pool you could tell the weather was warmed up, or was it becuase it was Presidents Day ?

Hospital visit yesterday was good and bad news. One of my heart valves does have a minuscule leak as a result of a bacterial growth at some stage in the past. The cardio specialist, Dr Joseph Tartaglia, thinks the bacteria infection was likely to have been when I had my leg surgery back in 1991. It's official.. I've got two ;-) One of them has the meniscus removed and shows sign of severe damage to the knee cap. However, there is still no bone on bone contact but as a result of my weight and the continued pounding of running it isn't in great shape but nothing needs to be done yet.
