AKA the "I am now totally girlcrushing on Parker" Job, for... obvious reasons.
I mean, did you SEE those dresses?! The first one, I went :O and maybe... forgot there was meant to be a plot for a moment.
ANYway, moving on.
So, Sophie's having Time Out this week to go find herself or work out what she wants or whatever. As long it involves her going back to Boston and the team and, most importantly, Nate, I'll be fine. But Sophie being away doesn't necessarily mean she's not involved...
Parker calls her for advice on.. social interaction, I guess, (the :O-making dress was Sophie's idea) which is probably good seeing as she did stab that guy with a fork back in The Stork Job. Yeahhh.
Then Eliot calls her... mostly to rant about having to watch everyone's backs and not being able to protect them properly, I think. Personally I think it was sweet of him.
Then Hardison calls her, after he's been kidnapped by the Russian goons and forced into helping them steal the diamonds that were the subject of the fake robbery the bad guy pulled.
(Interesting - they ALL asked her not to tell Nate that they'd called her. But then Nate called her, apologised for all the phonecalls, and spectacularly failed to tell her how he feels. Frustrating, that was.)
Other notable things this week:
Hardison's "Ice Man" accent. OH, GODS, WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT? I think it was meant to be English/British, specifically a gang member from South London. Who had just emigrated from Jamaica by way of Nigeria. I mean, really... what the hell... Thankfully, American Bad Guy and Russian Mob Goons apparently wouldn't know a real English accent if it broke into their vault and nicked their diamonds (sorry, couldn't resist). In short, Hardison is not the man to rely on for accents. Really, really not.
Hardison taking credit for Parker's thefts, and Parker's being GRR about it. LOL.
Hardison and Parker pretending to be in a relationship. LOL, but also made me go SQUEE just a little bit.
That tiny little glimpse of Eliot's Inner Softer Side. Sightings are rare, so when you get one you need to hold onto it. Seriously, folks, very deep down Eliot has a sweet side. VERY deep down, under the badassitude and the violence and the angst and the traumatic upbringing.
At the beginning, Nate ordering a drink for Sophie automatically when he was meeting the Client. Made me go AWWWWW. But then the conversation at the END happened and, much as I love Nate, I am a bit pissed at him now. For being STUPID, at the very least.
It was funny that he used the name Sterling when he was meeting the Bad Guy though. I have visions of Bad Guy (or Bad Guy's Lawyers at least) calling up IYS, asking for Mr Sterling, and becoming Very Confused when Real Sterling has no clue who Bad Guy is. Heh.
Things I Have Learnt This Week:
Parker rocks harder than I ever imagined. And looked smoking hot in those dresses.
Hardison and accents DO NOT MIX.
Nate needs a good slap, purely for his own good.
RUSSIANS ARE FREAKING SCARY, GUYS. Also, DO NOT MESS WITH RUSSIANS.
The Insurance industry seems to be a VERY ... interesting... place.
