Hobby=Profession??
OK, as many of you know I have been crocheting for many years. As a result i have finally deciding to take this hobby o fmine to the next levels. I am beginning work on designing my own patterns and have started my trainging to become a certified crochet instructor.
For those of you going, certified crochet instuctor?! Yes. There is a program through the Craft and Yarn Council of America to become a certified teacher. In order to get my first 2 levels I have to do 30 hours of volunteer teaching. For my third level I have to not only teach another 20 hours but design my own pattern, teach an observed intermediate/advanced class and take a written exam. So, anyone who has ever wanted to learn to crochet I am looking for students. Since I work Fridya and Saturday nights I have almost any other time of the week and day open and I would love to get a group together to teach as well. Please pass on to anyone you know who may be interested.
