Raven teleported into her room with fwhomp of displaced air. She looked decidedly thinner than she had when she'd left, since food hadn't exactly been plentiful in Azarath's ruins, and she was looking forward to actually sleeping that night on a real bed.
She hung up her cloak, frowning at the tears in it -- she'd have to mend those -- then turned and spotted the
doll sitting on that very bed she wanted to drop herself on to. For a moment she thought someone had come into her room and left a gift, a joke perhaps, a doll the opposite of herself, but there was just something about its white-eyed stare that made her uncomfortable. Still, she didn't want to be rude and simply throw it out, so she gingerly picked it up and placed it on the empty second bed in the room.
And then grabbed her cloak again and threw it over it because creepy.
When she'd settled on her bed and picked up her phone to check for any messages, she glanced up to see the doll was back on her bed, silently staring. She didn't jump or shriek despite being startled, but cautiously bent down towards it. "Hello?" she said. "I apologize for moving you and placing my cloak over you. I thought you were merely a doll. Are you a student? Have you been assigned to be my new roommate?" Hey, it was Fandom, stranger things had happened.
The doll offered no answer and just continued to stare unblinking. "I am Raven," Raven said, still puzzling over this. "This is my bed, but if you have some preference for this side of the room I would not be adverse to switching." Still no answer, other than the shiver the doll was sending down her spine.
After a moment she got up and moved away, though the doll's eyes seemed to follow her. She couldn't sense true life, but it was animate. Perhaps she'd go down to the office for answers soon, but for the moment she was keeping a wary eye on the doll. And cracking open the door for a quick escape if necessary.
