I've done a few Sprint-distance races over the past few years, and this October I'll be doing my first Olympic-distance race in LA, so I'm trying to up my training distances. I ran a 10k yesterday (and posted a surprisingly good time, according to my iPod!), but now my legs and knees are rather sore. I'm sure once I get used to these longer distances, it'll get better, but I was wondering...
What do you do in order to speed up your recovery after intense training? Hot tub? Massage? Banana-protein shake?
