OKAY.... here's the deal people...
We all need you to vote for the wonderful mistressmarla as best female vocalist at this year's Mama's. To do this, you will need a credit card that you can charge at least $5 to--check card should work just fine if you have it--and patience.
NOTE THAT THE DEADLINES ARE COMING UP SO VOTE NOW!!!!
Registration ends Feb. 15 <-----needed for voting
First Round Voting Ends Feb. 20 <----need to vote so that we make it past this round
Second Round of voting begins February 25 <--will need to vote again--but not pay again.. so remember your login!
All voting ends March 10.
Procedure...
1. go here first..
If you are already a member, then skip to step 3 and login
2. Become a member--needed so that you can vote... It costs $5, but all the money goes to madison area schools music programs.. so it gives you karmic brownie points.
3. After you are a member.. go back to this page and click on "Vote Here" button.
4. Click on the Songs button.. and then select the category "female vocalist."
5. Then you must summon your samurai warrior endurance skills.. you will be given groups of 3 songs that you have to rate good/better/best.. and I'm told you need to listen to each song at least a minute for your vote to count... so click on each of the songs--listen to the vast variety of madison folk artists that we have--until you get to "She Makes Promises"(also found here), which is where you can do your best to help my best half get some well deserved kudos... Note, that this process will prolly take at least 20 minutes--since you have to listen to at least 12 songs in the female vocalist category overall--but it is worth it..
6. Note that I will be specifically pestering some of you in your LJ's with this notice.. Please note that its only because I'm rather persistent when it comes to helping my best half.. :)
