I'm Back, and so are They
So it seems like I post less often then Leona now.
For those of you who didn't know, or just don't care, my parents went away to Hawaii for two and a half weeks. They got back Tuesday. It was kind of weird having this huge house all to myself. Leona stayed over the first two weekends, normally after I helped her and her sister clean up their father's loft (Mostly by moving boxes). I tried often to get my friends to come over, but it seemed like Ajax was just too far away for them most of the time. I'm sure if I lived subway distance they would of been over all the time. I only went into work twice while my parents were away (They're inbetween things now and everything is just starting up right now. I went in today and probably will be back in lots next week). So that left me with a lot of free time. The first weekend Leona came over I had to go into work on Sunday for a few hours, but that gave her a whole quite empty house to do homework in, which she liked. We went out to dinner after that before she had to go home again and I was left all alone.
It was kind of creepy most nights. I kept the hallway and kitchen lights on so that I didn't feel so alone. I spent most of my time in the Family Room. I even slept on the couch. Eventually I hooked up the Wii, PS2, GameCube, N46 as well as my laptop to the TV in the living room. Mostly cause I had some people over on Friday night. Andrew and Wade were the first ones to show up. It wasn't awkward at all hanging out with them like I was afraid it might of become. Eventually Ultimo and Beard showed up as well. Traffic is killer. Geddo showed up sometime and we spent most of the night playing Smash Bros, Pool, Fooseball, and watching TV. It was a good night. Beard spent the whole night watching Samurai Pizza Cats that I downloaded a long time ago.
The following day was the second weekend Leona kept me company. We had her friend Robin and her boyfriend Dale over for dinner. Robin had us over a while ago so I wanted to cook dinner for them. Well I for the most part failed. I think I got too ambishous with the meal... Leona helped me out a lot. She kept me calm and pretty much did everything except the pasta and pasta sauce. We didn't get to the wontons though. It was nice hanging out with another couple with Leona. I feel like I can be more myself around Robin and Dale. Its annoying always feeling like I'm doing something wrong because I hold my girlfriend's hand or give her a kiss.
I had my friends over again the following Monday for the Heroes Season Premier. Alvaro was the first one over. I picked him up at Scarborough Town Center. Then a few hours later I picked up Hornet from the same place. Andrew showed up later. Geddo showed up after the first ten minutes had already passed. We laughed at him. It sucked that no one could stay over that night. Everyone had stuff to do since tomorrow was as Tuesday.
I didn't see anyone again till Friday night. Leona's friend Amanda was having a surprise birthday party being thrown for her by her brother and his girlfriend. Leona let me tag along since they were asking for more guys to come. I drove over to Leona's place around 1 so that I wouldn't run into traffic. We were a little slow getting ready and were afraid we'd be late, but we were actually the first ones to arrive. I had lots of fun at Amanda's. It was a relaxing and different atmosphere then I was used to when I go to parties with Leona. It actually felt more like the college parties I used to go too, so I felt right at home. Everyone there was so easy to get along with. It was my first surprise party and I kind of screwed up the timing a bit, but it was still very surprising and everyone had a good laugh about it. I think I embarrassed myself talking to Amanda a few times, but she seemed kool. Probably realized I was a bit tipsy. All her friends seemed really kool. I look forward to seeing them again hopefully.
Leona and I spent the night at Amanda's and left early the next day. We cleaned up her Dad's loft again since her and her sister's beds were coming in the next day. Afterwards back at Leona's we watched Knocked Up which I bought the day before. I ended up staying for dinner and then afterwards I picked Hornet up at his house and then Alvaro and Kelsey from the gotrain station and we hung out at my house and I made martinis. I don't know if they were any good really, but no one complained. We did the whole sleeping on two futons thing in the basement which is always fun. Especially with Kelsey constantly beating up Alvaro. The next morning I made everyone eggs before dropping them off at the Scarborough Town Center.
I spent the rest of the time before my parents came back cleaning up the house and watching School Rumble, which I downloaded all of in a day (Yay IRC). School Rumble is pretty funny, but I'd probably enjoy it more with people to watch it with. Which reminds me that I went with Leona, Marianne, and Sonida to the York Anime club the first Thursday that my parents were gone. The animes were quite lame and I didn't even get to stay for Paranoia Agent, which was the only one I wanted to see... but it was alright. I might go back the odd times. Probably more next semester since they're playing better anime. Kelsey invited me to go to the Ryerson Anime Club with her. Those are on friday nights so I'll probably try to go next chance I get (not happening this friday -today-)
Overall I enjoyed my time home alone. I started to get less freaked out by the house as the weeks went on, but now its business as usual.
Sidenote: Leona, your sister's My Boss, My Hero should be done by tomorrow so hopefully I'll see you Sunday so I can give it to you, along with some of the other Dramas you wanted.
