"Stupid," he muttered under his breath. "Stupid brother, stupid Nexus, stupid father, stupid -- STUPID BAG!He muttered all of this with every punch at the bag, and was frustrated when the bag barely budged. Lightning was never physically strong. Or at least, not as strong as Thunder. Punching the stupid sack was grinding his nerves much more.

Duela meeped a bit, when she saw the crack appear in the wall. She walked over, and began to retrieve her weapons. "Well, ok... if you say so..."

She thought for a moment. "Oh! I have nother things in the bag besides these!"

"Oh? What are the rest?" he asked, glancing into the bag from where he was standing. Best he keeps his hands to himself, if he knows better -- curiosity did kill the cat!

She walked over, and after putting her cards back in, she pulled out a collapsable metal staff with an ace-of-clubs figure at the end of it.

"Uhm! Well, this is something I can use as a weapon," she said, extending it and spinning it around a little bit awkwardly.

"That is quite different," he said as he observed. "Does it do anything, or do you just smack people with it?"

"Uhm...! I rigged it so that if I press a button on the end, it does this! Uhm! Cover your eyes."

And then, without much warning, she closed her eyes and pressed said button, causing the end of the staff to emit a blinding flash.

Lightning covered his eyes, but only for a split second. He peeked through his fingers, and his eyes were as as wide as soup plates. :D! "Ooh! Bright light!" he said.

She blinked. :O

"You... think it's cool?" she asked.

"Cool? It does not deserve such a mere label! It is magnificent!" he said.

Looks like Lightning's much too excited for his own good.

Duela laughed nervously, blushing.

"Would you... would you like to try it out?"

oh em gee. Duela better be ready to have to fight Lightning to get it back. He's loving it!

"That would be nice!" he said. Note the "gimmie!" motions of his hands.

^_^; "Well, as long as you promise to give it back, she said, handing it over.

Lightning was grinning like a child in the candy shop when she handed it over to him. He glanced it over, pressed the button, and held the weapon out as a bright flash emitted from the staff. At this point, he was beaming just as brightly as the flash was. He couldn't help but swing it a few times, his gaze fixated on the staff.

It would be an understatement if you just said he was simply happy he has it in his possession!
