So everyone drops off when they are either coupled up, working hard, very miserable or very happy. I have been all of these things this year.
I had full time work for nearly the whole year, continuing into next term. I've managed to save a lot, to buy things I've needed for years - working clothes, a real desk, nice eyeglasses. And things with Brad are just as happy as ever. He's very good to me, and he still lights up when he sees me.
The work has been hard, bloody hard. Rewarding and stressful. I've become more resilient and proficient. I've made fast, dear friends.
My grandfather died this week, after a long battle with forgetting and pain. Going home for Christmas and a funereal, and my dear lj friends who have lost family this year are always present in my thoughts as I go.
